So once a week I try to hit the local farm market, Adams Fairacre Farms in Newburgh, NY. They have really nice, local produce, an amazing sweets section, a garden center and samples all the time. We usually hit “Family Night” for the 10% discount and the free dinner, ie: cheese and crackers, cookies, coffee, apple juice, dips, and local fruits. Yum. So they sampled this one night and I loved it so much I bought it. Good job Adams! Real simple. Just buy the ingredients and put it out on a nice platter. Done.
1 wedge of brie, room temperature
1 jar orange fig spread (i purchased Dalmatia brand at Adams but I’m sure a plain fig spread would be just as tasty)
Petit toasts (little toasted breads, nice and crunchy, maybe substitute Melba toast, plain)
Arrange everything on a platter. Take a toast, spread on some brie (don’t be afraid of the rind, you can eat it) add a bit of fig spread, pop it in your mouth. Yum.
