Apple-Honey Challah French Toast

Ooops. I almost forgot to post this one and it should not be forgotten. Once that Challah bread (recipe posted earlier) was getting stale I sliced up some 3/4 inch thick slices and made some incredible french toast. Maple syrup not required.

6-8 slices challah bread, 3/4″ thick
2 eggs
1/2 c. whole milk
1/4 c. apple cider
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
butter to grease pan

Whisk eggs through cinnamon in pie pan. Heat a large skillet or griddle. Melt a small pat of butter on surface, covering entire area. Dip bread slices in egg mix letting soak for at least 5-7 seconds on each side. Cook on greased pan till golden brown on each side. Serve with syrup and butter if desired. Breakfast is served baby.
