Pin 241, All Natural Acne Mask

To coincide with my au natural beauty products test from last week, I thought I would try this interesting face mask made with nutmeg, honey and milk. I thought it sounded delicious. And it was. I followed the Pin to see what hudabeauty.com had to say. There wasn’t too much information about why this combination of ingredients works so I did a little research of my own. Turns out honey and nutmeg are full of antioxidants and are natural anti-inflammatories. Great to take care of your inflamed zits right? Milk softens and moisturizes skin and is filled with nutrients like lactic acid that helps improve your skin’s texture and hydration level. Sounds good to me. I did find, however, that if you have allergy-prone skin you may want to test this mask on a small area before covering your entire face. That said, here’s the recipe. The mask isn’t pretty so I recommend doing it after the kids go to bed. You don’t want to give them nightmares.

Ingredients

2 tablespoon honey
2 tablespoon nutmeg
2 teaspoons milk (Make sure TEASPOONS)

Mix ingredients together in a bowl with a spoon, pushing the mixture into the bowl with the bottom of the spoon. Then apply to skin working outwards. Let sit for 10-15 minutes before rinsing. Follow with your favorite moisturizer!

I put the leftovers in the fridge to use another day. Its’ recommended to use twice a week for a couple weeks to see improvement in your complexion. I’ll give you my results in a couple of weeks.
